✰Hosts duties when on duty✰
- We ask that you sign up for one two-hour shift per week.
- Wear your host tag so playmates know who is on duty.
SPAM
- Spam the main PNI playmate group - Preshcious Nawty Island - at the start of your shift so people know you are hosting and send a notice. Hosting is not fun if no one shows up. Spam the group at least one more time halfway through your shift, though you are welcome to spam more often if things are happening on the SIM. We have suggested spam on the notecard entitled "PNI Spam and Notices."
GREETING
- Greet people as they come in and try to make small talk in local chat or on voice (if voice is on).
- Greet every single person that comes in the club and welcome them. Let them know who is DJing, what the event is, and where the dance machines are.
LOCAL CHAT
- Your most important job is to keep the conversation going. Talk to people! Focus on the positive! Never talk about lag or any issues you are having in open chat.
DJs
- Please promote the DJ's tipjar. "Show the DJ some linden loving" or "Have requests? IM our DJ ..."
- Mention the PNI tipjars. The lindens donated go towards PNI events like the cash prizes and live artists.
TIPS
- Encourage the guests to tip the house and the DJ. Never call for your own tips. Be friendly, sociable, and have fun with the crowd. This is how you will make money. Emoting is not required for the hosts, but please always say thank you when you are tipped.
PROBLEMS or ISSUES
- There will be issues at events no matter how well we plan in advance, including but not limited to lag and rude guests. When these kinds of issues come to your attention, please contact Preshcious Destiny, Vivian Gauntley, Badman Riverstone or Jadelisous Resident. If you have ANY questions about what to do during a certain situation, just ask management. If management asks you to do something, or not do something during an event, don't take it personal. We are just trying to be as efficient as possible, and at the end of the day, management is ultimately responsible for the outcome of any situation.
GROUP INVITE
- There is a group inviter above the area where the DJ and host dance. If a guest asks to join the group on their own, PLEASE send them a group invite yourself. Let them know in local you're doing it and send it as soon as you can.
FUN
- Have fun! Hosting should be fun, so we ask that you do just that, have fun. If you have fun, the room will have fun!
- If there is a shift after you, please introduce the next host and help transition the shifts smoothly.
IDEAS
- If you have any ideas for your shift, please IM Preshcious Destiny or Vivian Gauntley or Badman Riverstone or Jadelisous Resident to discuss them. Your creativity is always welcomed. You have a lot of freedom here at PNI, so have some fun and enjoy yourself.

- PLEASE work with the DJ before and after you regarding the handoff.
- Do NOT take the stream without communicating with the DJ before you.
- Insert your stream into the sound tab on the land. If you need assistance with this, please ask and we will show you how to do it.
- If there is a shift after you, please introduce the next DJ and help transition the shifts smoothly.
TIPS
- Please spread the word to your friends and fans, so they come to your shifts.
- Mention the host's tipjar so that they can get some tips.
FUN
- Have fun! DJing should be fun, so we ask that you do just that, have fun. If you have fun, the room will have fun!

✰Hosts/DJs duties when not on duty✰
- We ask all staff when on the sim to “be cool” and help out.
- If someone is hosting or DJing, please mention their tipjar.
- It is all of our duty to ensure that PNI is a fun place for everyone, so keep that in mind.

✰Eject/Ban✰
- We are not babysitters or the police and none of us want to be.
- Staff have the ability to eject and ban.
- Ejecting and Freezing just means you can eject the person or freeze them in their current spot. If you eject them it will just eject them off the PNI parcel but they can return.
- To ban go to the top of your screen where it says the name of the Parcel - Preshcious Nawty Island (PNI). This will take you to About Land. Select the second to last tab - Access - and under Banned Residents add their name. It may not take them off the sim but it will get them off of PNI land for the time being.
- The primary rule is be reasonable! Do not eject or ban for personal reasons, but if someone is causing problems, you have the right and should eject and/or ban as needed.
- We recommend you IM the person and ask them to be cool and specify what behavior should be stopped and/or changed. If they are nonresponsive or rude, eject as you see fit. If the problem persists, ban. Sometimes the IM and eject may need to be skipped and instead, the person should just be banned if he/she griefs the sim or troll heavily.
- If you ban anyone, please explain in a notecard what happened, possibly including the IM log, and send the notecard to Badman Riverstone. We are keeping the note cards and referencing it if someone IMs asking why they were banned.
- If you are reasonable, management will stand by your decision to eject and/or ban!

✰Cannot make a shift?✰
- IM Vivian Gauntley or Preshcious Destiny to let them know that you will be missing the shift so that we can try to find someone to cover. If neither are on, please let the staff know in the PNI staff group.
- RL comes first, so please know that we will understand if you need to miss a shift.

✰Other clubs✰
- We ask that staff do not discuss other clubs while at PNI. Speaking of something that happened elsewhere is acceptable, depending on the facts and circumstances. For example, sharing a story of a prior experience at another club is acceptable. However, speaking negatively of an experience elsewhere or commenting on how something is done at another club is not appropriate.
